Incense of the day: Violet With spring comes gardening. You can use rune magic to help your plants grow tall and strong, protect them from inclement weather, and ward off marauding wildlife. For each row of seeds, you need a stick. Cover the empty seed packet with clear tape to preserve it, and fasten it to one end of the stick. Along the stick, carve runes. Then post the stick at one end of the row. Consider these runes: feoh (f) for wealth and nourishment; wynn (w) for hope, joy, and new energy; nyd (n) for need; jera (j) for bounty and fruition; eoh (c) for resilience; eolh (z) for luck and protection; sigil (s) for success; beorc (b) for healing and renewal; lagu (l) for protection and growth; and ing (y) for fertility and energy. As you carve, say this verse: Knife sharp, wood hard, Rune strong, rune guard. |
