At this time of year our activities turn inward. And since this is a New Moon, it would be appropriate to renew our spirit and ready the home for the quiet months ahead. With the Sun in Libra, work to create a safe, cozy haven for you and your family. Seasonal decorations are a good place to start. Mums, pumpkins, squash, and Indian corn aren't just for looks-they'll charge your environment with fertility and prosperity. Scent the home with fragrant candles-apple, pumpkin pie spice, and cider scents are good choices. Bittersweet should be hung outside or inside, and it's an excellent addition to an autumn love spell. For some New Moon magic, try writing a wish on a red or orange maple leaf and then releasing it on the autumn wind. During this New Moon, don't forget to ready your property for the wild creatures you share your space with. Bird feeders should be cleaned and filled. Leave some corn for the squirrels. Doing these things now will keep our animal friends coming back. For a New Moon exercise, bless an orange candle. Light it and think of something you'd like to change in your home, or environment. Scry into the flame and your answer shall be found.
