Incense of the day: Sandalwood At this time of year, the birds in my yard are searching for nesting sites and will soon begin to build their nests. Let's take a tip from nature and begin to magically freshen up our own homes. After a good physical cleaning, our homes need a spiritual cleansing also. If you have a fireplace, toss a few whole garlic cloves into the fire to release their cleansing properties. Remove a few bristles from your trusty broom and burn or smudge them in a heatproof dish. Carry the dish around your home and fan the smoke about with a feather. This will please your household spirits. Then treat yourself to some spring flowers. Floral shops should have pots of spring-blooming flowers now. Tulips, crocuses, and hyacinths are good choices; they'll cleanse any space. Now you're ready for spring. |
