Spell A Day
Full Moon Spell for Other Cultures
Spell Date: Tuesday, June 5, 2001
This Full Moon (at 15 degrees of Sagittarius) is conjunct Pluto, which carries over intense dark energies from last month. Sagittarius is the sign of religion, law, higher education, foreign travel and cultures, and prejudices. To best use this Moon to your advantage, eat at a foreign restaurant and think about how a cuisine reflects the culture it comes from. Light a purple candle and think about any prejudices you might hold—we all have them. Write down your prejudices. As the candle burns, release any hatred and ill feelings and try to envision yourself understanding other people, even those from different backgrounds and cultures. Envision yourself building a bridge of understanding between yourself and one other person with whom you have little in common. Burn the paper and let go of one prejudice.
