Incense of the day: Mulberry Green Man is the laughing spirit of abundant growth and the perseverance of nature. This day is known as Old Litha and was sometimes celebrated as the height of summer abundance. Most of us now celebrate Litha on the planetary Summer Solstice, but today would be a great time to tap into the old energies of bounty and bring some prosperity into your life. Light a green candle anointed with pine or patchouli oil, surrounded by green leaves and set before an image of Green Man. Focus on all the life force that is pulsing around the green Earth. Green Man smiling in the wood Bring abundance and all that's good Growth and bounty send to me. As by my will, so mote it be! Allow the candle to burn all the way out. Water your trees and magical garden to thank Green Man and honor all that's green and growing. |
