POSTED UNDER Earth, Sun

Spell: A Solar Offering

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Brown
Incense of the day: Rue

In a bowl layered for open charcoal incense burning, prepare a round of coal. Blend equal parts frankincense and myrrh with six drops of ylang-ylang oil. Once stirred together, empower the resin with the following chant:

Central star, glorious Sun
You are the torch-bearer from out of the darkness
The father of all thought and design
It is your light that penetrates all life
Reaching even to the depths of terra
Your force knows no end
We journey ever round your vestige
Honoring your position
For you bind us all together
Each to the next in perfect synchronicity
Without you, we simply could not be.

Place the resin on the charcoal round and offer up the smoke to the Sun. As you do so, accept that his light radiates through all plants and animals, sustaining us, fortifying our bodies and ensuring the survival of the grand life force, not merely the survival of humanity. Leave this offering in an open sunny place where there is no danger of fire. Let your offering rise up through the planes of Earth and beyond to meet the face of the Sun.
