Spell: Abundance Hex Sign

Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Green
Incense of the day: Myrrh

Today is Schwenkenfelder Thanksgiving, celebrated in the Pennsylvania Dutch areas of the United States. Although these people were mostly Christian, they practiced their own methods of magic, the best known of which are Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs. Today's an auspicious day to create your own hex sign for prosperity and abundance. You'll need a wooden disk (available at any craft store); some white, green, red, and yellow acrylic paints; and a black paint pen. Research hex designs on the Internet. Traditional symbols for abundance are oak leaves, acorns, gold finches, stars, and rosettes. Paint the disk all white; when it dries, lightly sketch your design. Fill in the designs with paint. When the paint dries, outline each design with the paint pen. Before hanging your hex sign, enchant it:
Upon this harvest feast day,
This hex sign do I charge
Prosperity and abundance
Bring blessings small and large.
Hang the sign high in your home.
