Spell: A Fireside Meditation

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Have you ever stopped to think how magical a fire is? Think about the wood. It came from a tree that was rooted in Mother Earth and reached for Father Sun, so it contains both female and male energies. And then there's the flamefire is almost alive. In it we see the Sun and the raw primal energy of life itself. Think about the hearth. The very word conjures images of warmth and security. The first hearth was the cave floor and it was there that the human race tamed fire. Our early ancestors learned fire would cook food and provide comfort. And around the hearth, homes were built. The ancients also learned they could scry by gazing at the flames. So, when the raw December wind roars and rattles the shutters, join me by the fire. Please, come and sit a spell.
