Spell: Horseshoe Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Most people know that a horseshoe nailed up over a doorway is supposed to bring good luck. However, the position should be with the open hell at the top to hold the luck. Heels down is said to let the luck spill out and is a sign of disrespect. It's best to find a used horseshoe that has been pulled by a farrier, NOT a shoe that has been thrown by a horse.
Try finding a stable in your local area and ask if they have any used horseshoes, or if they will give you the name of a farrier.
If you can't locate a source for used shoes, you can use a new shoe, but be sure to rub it on the ground and get it good and soiled. Set it out for a full Moon cycle, just as you would a crystal or other magical tool.
Rinse the shoe in a moving body of water...a lake, a stream, or the ocean.
Hang the shoe with heels up over your front door and ask it to bring luck to your home.
