Spell A Day
A House-Spirit Spell
Spell Date: Friday, October 12, 2012
Color of the day: Rose
Incense of the day: Yarrow
Welcome the spirit by placing a pair of shoes by the door and cleanse the space with a speck of salt upon the floor. When the clock strikes the witching hour, end this spell. Ply your guest with a sweet and a sip of wine, and wish them well.
If you feel there's a ghost where you dwell
May you find comfort with this spell.
If you see mist at the top of the stairs
Or there's a presence which moves the chairs,
If there are shadows that float across the wall
And you hear footsteps down the hall,
When pictures fall from trusty nails
Or if you should see a figure white and pale,
If the lights flicker and go out
And you hear things in the attic moving about,
Take heart, do not fret, do not fear
It's just a house spirit who wishes to be near.
