Spell: Rice Offering for Abundance

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is the Malaysian festival of Gawai Dayak in celebration of the rice harvest. When the last grains are gathered through the collective efforts of the community, festivities begin, including prayers for protection and luck. Rice is a staple grain in many areas of the world and represents blessings of prosperity and abundance.
In honor of this cultural day and to give thanks for your own abundance, leave an offering of uncooked rice on your household altar or dinning room table. Try cooking a meal with rice as an ingredient and share it with loved ones, if possible. Before and/or during the meal, go around the dinner table one at a time, allowing all those in attendance to offer their own recitations of prayers and blessings of gratitude, luck, abundance, and protection. So mote it be!
