Spell A Day
Money and Timing Ritual
Spell Date: Thursday, November 8, 2001
We all have times when the checkbook won’t balance; money due us isn’t arriving, but the bills sure are! Try this emergency finance-boosting ritual for those times when money is running out. Take three peppercorns, or three drops of black pepper essential oil, and place them in a clear ceramic or Pyrex cup. Now add a pinch of cinnamon, ginger, or other “hot” money spice. Take off your watch—the one you wear everyday—and set it before the cup. Put the teakettle on. As you’re waiting for the water to boil, chant: “Time, time, plenty of time, money arrives in plenty of time.” When the water boils, fill the cup. Inhale the steam from the cup, and if your watch is water-resistant pass it through the steam as well. Repeat as necessary to encourage swift remuneration.
