Many people admit that they find some forms of housework to be meditative, and for good reason. The semi-mindless repetitive actions can be very soothing. So the next time the young kids are squabbling, the spouse is being grouchy, the parents don't understand, or the housemates are merely being, well, themselves, go fold some laundry or wash the dishes.
