| Today is Father's Day, and on this day it is important to recognize all our father figures, not just the biological ones. Many of us have uncles, neighbors, close friends, or even coven Priests whom we consider family of spirit. Often times, the parental bond with these father figures is even stronger than with our biological father, for various reasons.
Today, make it a point to reach out to at least one of these nontraditional father figures in your life, and let them know you appreciate their presence in your life. This acknowledgment in itself is a magickal act, for the emotional exchange that takes place in such relationships is an ongoing manifestation of the Divine. If for whatever reason you cannot contact such a person today, light a candle on your altar in honor of and in gratitude to that person. |
