Spell: Summer Solstice for the Solitary

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

A simple ritual for the summer solstice requires a few candles and sparkles-silver and gold-and lots of white lights. Plus something sparkly to drink, like sparkling cider or grape juice or wine, and some sweet cookies.
Silver and gold represent the colors of the sun and the moon; on the summer solstice, the day is the longest and the night is the shortest. Decorate your altar with the candles and white lights.
We are celebrating the magic of the summer. First, go somewhere and watch the sunset. It will be late in the evening, but it is a wonderful way to start a ritual-sunsets are pure magic. By the time you arrive hone, it should be dark. Light up all the white lights and candles. Sprinkle sparkles to create your sacred space and sprinkle them on the altar. Have fun sprinkling them everywhere.
If you feel you want to invite your deity, do so. Call upon the magical folk to join your celebration. Offer some drink and cookie to all. Perform a simple magic spell for yourself (for your happiness and prosperity or good health) and then send all the magic folk home. Thank your deity for joining..,.and then sit and enjoy the magic of a summer night.
