Simply go to a favorite tree in your area, or take a walk in a wooded area and find one you feel a kinship with. Hug the tree for a few minutes. Kiss the wood and whisper your prayers into its mighty base. Feel yourself merging with its incredible power. Declare your alignment to Mother Earth, and ask for protection through your days. Be sure to leave an offering of a fruit, vegetable, or grain. Return to the tree and repeat the process whenever you're in need of mental grounding and the potent protection of the Great Mother. Vow to always make life choices that benefit the earth, including recycling, eating locally, and supporting small businesses. |
