| The dark of the moon is a special time for looking into the shadow side of things. Without the dark, we can't see the stars, so working with shadow helps us to see the sparks in our lives.
Use a black piece of paper and a silver pen, and light a black candle. List your fears that you want to manage in your life. Look over the list, and realize that the feelings brought up are temporary. Allow the feelings to pass through you. Once you have fully meditated on this, hold the black list of fears before you and state: "Mighty Hecate, light my path As I examine my shadow's wrath. I fiercely face what I must, Embracing fears that turn to dust." Light the paper and watch it burn, dropping it into a fireproof dish. Take the ashes and bury them far from your home or sprinkle them into moving water. |
