Spell: Spell for the Hearth and Home

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The winter holiday season is upon us. Why not celebrate with a hearth and home spell? No matter where you live, the hearth is often the heart of the home. These days, that "hearth" is often the kitchen. Call on Hestia, the Greek goddess of the hearth flame. Hestia was a powerful deity, as she was traditionally the first and last of the gods to be invoked.

To begin, light a red candle and display it safely in a place of honor. Then say:

(Hestia, goddess of the hearth's flame, I honor your power now and call your name. Watch over our home and bless us all during the holidays, May your power shine forth and brighten up these dark winter days.)

Let the candle burn out in a safe place. If you wish, you can rework this spell throughout the holiday season.
