| Here is a spell to promote longevity and ward off illness.
Use a stone associated with longevity, such as agate, jade, a fossil, or petrified wood. Dip the stone into saltwater, saying: "I consecrate this stone of long life by water and earth. Long life, fill this sacred stone!" Pass the stone through sage smoke, saying: "I consecrate this stone of long life by fire and air. Long life, fill this sacred stone!" Touch the stone to the top of your head, saying: "Long life, fill my head!" Then touch and fill your heart, hands, and feet. Now place the stone anywhere on your body that disease runs in your family-for example, the breasts for breast cancer-saying: "Sacred stone, protect me and keep me well." Do as many areas of the body as necessary. Keep the stone on your altar. You can renew this spell periodically, always during a full or waxing moon. |
