Spell: National Battery Day

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is National Battery Day. We use batteries to power much of modern life, from flashlights to smartphones. Alas, batteries and magic don't always mix! Some magical people find that they drain batteries extra fast. Others can give a dying battery a little recharge.

On the mystical side, many things can work as a "battery" to power a spell. Quartz crystals are among the best for this purpose. A plain, clear quartz crystal can provide energy for all kinds of magical crafts. Crystals are easily recharged by putting them in sunlight or moonlight for a few hours.

Whether your favorite type of battery is technological or magical, take a few minutes to honor it today. Look at it or visualize it and say:

"Vessel of power, I give thanks to you for holding the energy until it is ready to become light, motion, sound, and power."
