Spell: The Big Reveal

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today brings a solar eclipse and a completely dark moon. This is a powerful time to work with magicks of disclosure, revealing, and beginnings, and you can do this through a simple and meaningful ritual. You'll need a candle, matches, a candle snuffer, a shawl (draped around your shoulders), a timepiece, and your favorite tarot deck.

Settle yourself about fifteen minutes before the totality of the eclipse. Turn the lights out. Ground, center, and open the ritual in your usual way. Sit quietly and light the candle. As you gaze into the flame, meditate on what changes are due in your life and/or what new directions you might pursue.

When the time of the eclipse arrives, snuff the candle, pull the shawl over your head, and spend a few moments embracing the eclipsed darkness. Relight the candle, and with your meditations in mind, deal your tarot cards (use a favorite spread) and see what the universe reveals.
