For a shower of good fortune, buy a small child's plastic boat, either red or gold in color. Place it in water attached to a string, and draw a circle around it with your hand, saying:
Drizzle a bit of clear water or gold sparkles on the boat. Take it home and place it on your altar and continue to "shower" it every now and then. Benten is the Japanese goddess of the seas and luck, called upon by both sailors and gamblers. |
