Write down a rumor you want to put a stop to on a small slip of paper. Roll it up as small as possible. Put it in a plastic cup or bottle and cover it with water completely.

Hold the cup or bottle in your hand and say:

Frozen solid, icy cold,
Stop this story from being told.

Place the cup or bottle in the freezer overnight and let it freeze solid. Leave it there until the gossip dies down or the situation passes, then dump it out and recycle the materials.

If you live in a cold part of the world, you can freeze the bottle outside instead of in the freezer.
