| Thursday is ruled by Jupiter, known astrologically as the Greater Benefic. Jupiter is expansive, bringing opportunities, increase, generosity, good fortune, and luck. Since today is a day for abundance, protection, prosperity, strength, wealth, and healing, let's use this "great benefic" energy for a self-sufficiency spell. If we are self-sufficient (financially, emotionally, socially, and even sexually), it frees us to make very different choices, ones not based on need.
You'll need a photo of yourself, some money, a wrapped candy or chocolate bar, and a blue cloth or ribbon. Place the photo on your altar, standing up, looking out. Say: "Jupiter, expand my horizons, help me govern my life." Place the money in front of the photo. Say: "I have wealth and resources." Place the candy. Say: "I have sweet sustainability" Surround these with the blue cloth or ribbon. Say: "Jupiter's energy encircles me, Expanding self-sufficiency. The Greater Benefic blesses me. So mote it be." Repeat as needed. |
