Color of the day: Purple Incense of the day: Yarrow In July, nature explodes with color. Flower beds are splashed with yellow, orange, and red. Even the vegetable garden is full of color, the first tomatoes ripen, and yellow squash peek out from beneath large green leaves. This spell draws upon the energy of the season to increase your confidence. It should be performed at noon when the Sun is at its zenith. Turn your altar toward the south and light one orange pillar candle. Decorate the altar with as many vases of bright summer flowers as you wish. As the candle burns, watch the flame. As the flame grows, imagine your self-confidence growing. Snuff out the candle after a few minutes. Go outdoors, face south, and leave a small offering to the Sun. This could be a small piece of coffee cake or any cinnamon-flavored pastry. Over the next few days, don an article of clothing that is a brighter color than you usually wear. People may compliment your appearance. When they do, you'll feel a surge of confidence. |
